Canada's hotel owners, investors, and brands, together at the Hilton Toronto for the conference's 30th year. We were the official media sponsor, working alongside the organizer's own crew, and our photos and video went out first.

The CHIC 30 testimonial recap.
About the project.
The Canadian Hotel Investment Conference, CHIC, is where Canada's hotel industry does business: owners, investors, developers, lenders, and the major brands, for two days of panels, keynotes, and deal-making. 2026 marked its 30th year, and organizer Big Picture Conferences marked it at the Hilton Toronto, with sessions featuring leaders from Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Accor, Air Canada, and CIBC.
Big Picture already had a photographer and videographer booked. We came on as the official media sponsor, which meant our work would be seen side by side with theirs.
Photos while the event was still running.
Instead of one album at the end, we delivered photos in batches, one for each major session. The first batch was in Big Picture's hands by lunchtime on day one. By the end of day two, they had ten, from the opening remarks to the Hilton fireside chat and the C-suite panel.
That meant the CHIC team and its sponsors could post stage photos of a session while people were still talking about it, not a week later.
Getting hoteliers to talk.
As media sponsor, our logo went up on the main screen, and the host invited attendees to come find Conference Media and put their thoughts on camera. Just outside the ballroom, we set up a lit interview spot and spent much of the conference talking to attendees, speakers, and exhibitors: first-timers, people on their second CHIC, and one who'd been coming for about 14 years.
This is a crowd that's friendly but not used to being on camera. By the end of the conference, we had two and a half hours of interviews.
“It's you, Javon. You have that vibe to get people to open up and talk. I think this is a great asset.”Maggie Wong, Big Picture Conferences
We interviewed exhibitors too, so their brands made it into the content. That gives sponsors something to share after the event, instead of their visibility ending when the booths come down.
“I like that you interviewed the exhibitors, so their brand is on a video. Having this content out there, bringing their brand out again for this industry audience, I think this is bringing value to the sponsor.”Maggie Wong, Big Picture Conferences
A 30th-anniversary recap.
From those interviews, we cut a testimonial recap built around one question: why do people keep coming back to CHIC? It covers who's in the room, all the major brands, and why it's worth the trip, with each person's name and title on screen so CHIC could tag them when it posted the video on LinkedIn. See the original post. We also delivered a longer testimonial video with the full set of interviews.

The results.
Our photos reached Big Picture before the official crew's, and our video got more engagement on LinkedIn than the official content did.
Big Picture noticed. At the debrief, the conversation turned to covering their other marquee events, and they brought us on for more projects, starting with the Quebec Hotel Investment Conference in Montreal that September.
