Riders, a 160 km route through Beaver Valley's fall colours, and a fundraiser that raised over $600,000. We followed the ride by car and had a vertical recap back to Parkinson Canada in 48 hours.

About the project.
Pedaling for Parkinson's is Parkinson Canada's annual cycling fundraiser, with four rides across the country: the Capital Ride, the Prince Edward County Ride, Go the Distance, and the Growling Beaver.
The Growling Beaver is the toughest of the four. Riders take on a 160 km route through Beaver Valley in peak fall colours, with shorter 100, 60, and 40 km options. This year's ride raised over $600,000.
Parkinson Canada brought us in a few weeks after we covered their SuperWalk in Toronto.
One request. One hour.
During the ride, Parkinson Canada needed photos for a CBC story. Our team edited a set of publication-ready photos and delivered them within the hour, while the event was still going.
The challenge: a route that moved.
We mapped the course ahead of time and picked our lookouts. Then, partway through the event, the riders changed routes.
We kept pace by car, leapfrogging ahead and repositioning so we could still catch riders at the best spots in the valley. The 15-second recap, delivered 48 hours later, came out of those shots.
What we delivered.
One ride, eight kinds of content, each delivered when Parkinson Canada needed it most.

Two recap videos, two jobs
The 15-second vertical recap was built to stop the scroll on phones, with riders in motion against the valley's colours. The 90-second recap gives the day room to breathe: the riders, the atmosphere, and the wins.

Real voices
We filmed five testimonial interviews, plus a bonus, using questions we wrote for the event alongside Parkinson Canada's own. Many of the riders are personally affected by Parkinson's disease. We provided accessibility accommodations so everyone could speak comfortably.
We also caught five riders on the spot with quick prompts, for raw reactions while the ride was happening. Both sets of interviews were cut into ten speaker clips: under-one-minute edits of the strongest moments, made for sharing.
Social content in real time
On ride day, we shot 5 to 15 second clips and photos from an attendee's point of view, in vertical and horizontal formats, and dropped them in a shared folder so the team could post while the excitement was at its peak.
A library for next year
The footage we didn't use became a stock library, ready for social posts, sponsor decks, and next year's promo video.
The results.
The ride raised over $600,000 for Parkinson Canada. At the finish, teams handed over their totals on giant cheques, including $166,308 from Les Domestiques, $78,000 from the Sweet Mother Backers, and $13,976 from the Growling Chickens. We made sure every one of those moments was captured for Parkinson Canada and the teams to share.
The ride doesn't end at the finish line.
With the right content, the story keeps going. Thank you to Parkinson Canada for trusting us to help tell it.
